A Gordon Russell Oak Dining Table & Four Chairs
This Gordon Russell dining suite is made of oak and dates to the 1940s or early 1950s as all the items bear the Utility mark. The table, which has two extending leaves, stands on octagonal legs with shaped feet and is very much in the Cotswold School style. The chairs have low, outsept backs with curved top rails, tapering legs and drop in seats.
The table - 84cm wide, 107cm long (168cm when extended) and 76cm high.
The chairs - 50.5cm deep, 44cm wide and 79.5cm high.
The table is in good, refinished condition though, when extended, the two extending leaves are slightly out of flush with the central one. The chairs have a few old cracks but have been reglued and are in very good and solid condition. The fabric is worn and the chairs would benefit from being reupholstered, which we can quote for and arrange if you wish.
