An Oak Sectional Bookcase by Gunn
This oak bookcase is comprised of three separate sections that stack on a shaped plinth. Each section has an up-and-over sliding door opened by an engine-turned brass handle. With perspex glazing and bullnose projections on either side, it dates to c.1920.
Gunn were an American company who specialised in desks and sectional bookcases during the early part of the twentieth century. Each section of this bookcase bears the Gunn stamp.
The bookcase is 133cm high, 87cm wide and 37cm deep (16.5cm deep at the top). Internally, the two lower shelves measure 33cm high, 26cm deep and 82cm wide whilst the smaller top shelf is 23cm high, 19.5cm deep and also 82cm wide.
In very good condition with a lovely mellow brown colour.
