A 1950s 'Circles and Ellipses' Sideboard by Gordon Russell
A variant of the famous 'Helix' design, this 1950s sideboard has a pattern of circles and ellipses routed through a Bombay rosewood veneer to the white birch beneath. The body is made of mahogany. It has two drawers, one fitted for cutlery, and two cupboard doors which open to reveal an internal shelf shaped to accommodate large bottles. It has metal ring handles and a metal Gordon Russell label on the back.
It measures 43.5cm deep, 122cm wide and 91.5cm high.
In good condition with minor, disguised losses to the rosewood veneer.
