A Cotswold School Oak Bureau Cabinet
This unusual cabinet, made in the Cotswold School style of the Arts & Crafts movement, has a fall front with octagonal handles beneath an oversailing top. The plank sides have cut-out feet and are united by a stretcher ornamented with short chamfering. The interior has a drawer and an arrangement of shelves. The cabinet is made of very well-figured oak and has the exposed through tenons typical of the Cotswold School craftsmen.
It measures 122cm wide, 30.5cm deep and 78cm high. The fall front is 47cm high when lowered.
It is in good and original condition with some wear to the top.
