An Oak Dresser in the Cotswold School Style
This dresser is very well made out of solid oak throughout and has aged to a mellow honey colour. It comprises four central drawers, the top one fitted for cutlery, with cupboards either side and a planked plate rack above. The cupboards have panelled doors with exposed pegs and a shelf within. The drawers have wooden handles set within an oval recess. The top is separate and simply rests on the base.
Made in the style of the Cotswold School, it probably dates to the mid- to late twentieth century.
161cm wide, 175cm high and 47cm deep.
In good and solid condition with one old stain to the top, several stains to one side and superficial scratches to the drawers and cupboard doors. One handle has had an edge knocked off.
