A 1950s Walnut Sideboard by Gordon Russell
Made of very well-figured walnut, in the solid and veneered, and standing on beech legs, this sideboard has three drawers flanked by a pair of cupboards. It has turned wooden handles and the top drawer is fitted for cutlery. One cupboard has a shelf whilst the other is completely open. It was designed by Gordon Russell Ltd in the 1950s and made into the 1960s. It bears their label to the back.
It measures 141cm wide, 80cm high and 49cm deep.
In very good and original condition, faded to a mellow honey colour. There is an unobtrusive dent to one side and minor wear to the baize in the cutlery drawer.
