A Yorkshire Oak Dresser by the 'Woodpeckerman'
Stan Dodds was a cabinetmaker at the 'Mouseman' workshops who also made furniture independently and distinguished it with a carved woodpecker. This dresser, of small proportions, is beautifully crafted out of oak and has three plate racks above two drawers with a large shelf beneath. The front legs, handles and top column are all turned and the drawer fronts have carved tramline decoration. The back is planked and there are exposed pegs throughout.
It measures 95cm wide, 152.5cm high and 43cm deep.
It is in very good condition with a couple of superficial scratches to the top.
This table is available to view in our Nottingham shop (please phone to make sure it is on display) or delivery can be arranged.
